Coming up this Saturday at Mt. Rainier National Park, get an education on why it's important to look and not touch, and not feed those begging residents of the Park. The 31st is Mt. Rainier's second annual Keep Wildlife Wild event.

Mount Rainier National Park will host its second annual Keep Wildlife Wild Day July 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in an effort to educate visitors on wildlife and the impacts humans have on them. The day will focus on wildlife protection and education to keep Mount Rainier's wildlife wild.
Mount Rainier staff will celebrate the day with a number of short educational programs in the Paradise area. Interpretive Rangers and Biologists will present talks on native wildlife throughout the day. Speakers will present in the Jackson Visitor Center auditorium, Paradise Inn or as a walking talk in the Paradise meadows.
A "Kid's Korner" will give children the opportunity to explore the interesting world of wildlife through coloring and mask making.
At the Paradise Inn lobby, Northwest nature photographer Lee Mann will be displaying some of his wildlife photographs and sharing tips on wildlife photography. Local wildlife artist Dale Thompson will be painting wildlife and sharing his stories on park wildlife encounters.
