Do Good, Feel Good

Want to put some feel-good into the family’s summer plans?  Every year Mt. You Kids Get Outside!

Mt. Rainier National Park’s Junior Ranger Program is a fun way for school-aged kids to learn more about nature!  These one-hour, ranger-guided expeditions teach kids about the mountain, glaciers, habitats, and more.  The programs start at various times and locations around the park.  Each participant is awarded a Junior Ranger patch upon completion.  For more information:  http://www.nps.gov/mora/forkids/index.htm

Take Romance to a Higher Level

Sweep your sweetie away in a cherry red carriage for fine dining and a fabulous sunset view of Mt. Rainier, at Crystal Mountain.  The Summit House restaurant is just a 10-minute ride on Crystal Mountain’s new Mt. Rainier Gondola.  Sunset dinners are Friday and Saturday nights, and a Sunday brunch runs July 1 - October 1.  Ingredients are local or organic, and pair perfectly with a fabulous variety of Northwest wines.  The Summit House is also open daily for lunches; a perfect way to recharge while hiking or biking the mountain’s many pet-friendly trails.  Crystal Mountain is now a year-round resort! Serve Breakfast to Bison

Hop in the back of a truck and join the dedicated keepers at Northwest Trek in Eatonville for their Free-Roaming Area Keeper tour.  Visitors get up close with buffalo, moose, elk, deer and other animals, as keepers do their daily feeding.  Continental breakfast for humans at the end!  For more information:   www.nwtrek.com
